What is a headshot and why would you need a professional photographer to take your photograph?

Natural light:

Diffused natural light from a large window is ideal. To avoid direct sunlight which can create harsh shadows it is preferred to shoot outdoors in an open shaded place.

Artificial light:

If we need to use artificial light, we use multiple sources to avoid harsh shadows.

Background:

A solid color background is ideal. A plain backdrop keeps the focus on you. Using a wall or other neutral color backdrop also allows for easier lines and a sharper image.
